Interviews:

This time, the interviews feature the legendary Paul Speckmann of MASTER; the one and only Justin Pearson (DEAF CLUB, ex-THE LOCUST, Three One G label); and Aleš Meduna in an extensive conversation about his current bands GOSPEL OF THE FUTURE, GUTS, SKIPLIFE and REPELENT SS, as well as his experiences from touring. Mára Drahota (SNĚŤ) talks about co-organizing shows under the Kreas Promotion banner and the Tones of Decay festival, as well as running FURY M&S Production, while Jirza discusses not only Brno’s KABINET MÚZ club but also the workings of the independent club scene. Another interesting perspective comes from Germany’s Kristof Grabowski, aka BLASTFREAK666 – a passionate vinyl collector who buys around 50 records a month and probably owns the world’s largest collection of NAPALM DEATH vinyl. Isaac Horne, one of the fastest drummers around today, talks about the new blood in the grindcore scene and his bands SULFURIC CAUTERY and MORGUE BREATH. The younger generation is represented by two bands from Plzeň – powerviolence duo LILIXELBE and hardcore band HYACINTH. There is also plenty of pissed-off hardcore/punk from Banská Bystrica courtesy of NÄ.

Tour reports

As always, tour reports make up a major part of the issue. UŽ JSME DOMA share their experiences from touring France and Poland; SNĚŤ and HYPERDONTIA report on their joint run through England; TERMINATOR X and LILIXELBE cover their European tour; PIVNICE recount their trip through the Baltic states; while DEZINFEKCE and SKIPLIFE take us all the way to Japan.

Scene report

A scene report from Slovenia documents the current revival of the local powerviolence scene.

Columns

As usual, the issue closes with the regular columns.
